Katie began her journey to yoga in 2011 while working at the YMCA. She loves the versatility that each class brings, and the promise of feeling grounded and centered at the end of a class. She reaps many of the benefits that come along with practicing yoga, like a calmer frame of mind, mental clarity in her everyday life, and building physical strength.
Katie’s classes focus on breath work, proper alignment, and honoring your body’s individual needs. She loves helping her students develop their practice and enjoys teaching a playful and relaxed class. She completed Dana Hot Yoga’s 200 hour Teacher Training Program. She is also a registered instructor with the Yoga Alliance.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys reading, writing, baking, practicing yoga, exercising, and spoiling her dogs, June and Harper.

Level 2 (Intermediate)
This is a moderately paced class and students continue to build awareness, strength, skill and focus. It is helpful to have a basic understanding of sun salutations, but this is not required to attend the class. Posture sequences will be linked by vinyasa flow, designed to raise energy in the body while keeping the mind steady. Various hand and arm balances may be offered, however, modifications are offered to make this class accessible to all students.
